Brows & Lashes
WHAT IS LASH & BROW TINTING?
Tinting is a simple and safe process of applying a semi-permanent dye to your lashes and brows. The specific color is often based on your natural hair color but can be customized to your liking.
Brow and lash tints usually last between 3-4 weeks, and often longer if you apply moisturizer and don't use oil-based cleansers.
Eyelash tinting is always a treatment that should be carried out by estheticians as the dye is very close to the eye and can cause irritation if done incorrectly.
WHO IS AN IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR BROW & LASH TINTING?
You are an ideal candidate for eyelash tint and brow tint if you:
- Have light hair and eyelashes
- Don't have time to apply mascara every day
- Are sensitive or allergic to make-up
- Wear contact lenses
- Participate in active sport
Brow and lash tinting may not be ideal for those with sensitive skin.
IS BROW & EYELASH TINTING SAFE?
Lash and brow tinting is a very safe treatment when done by a professional esthetician. The tint is made with vegetable dye.
AFTER TINT CARE:
After eyelash and eyebrow tinting, make sure to stay away from water for about 12 hours. This lets the dye settle in so it won't wash off.
You can continue to wash your face but should use a cotton ball with a mild gel or cleanser. If you wear contacts, leave them out until the next day. If your eyes feel sensitive after the tinting treatment, apply some lubricating eye drops.
BROW LAMINATION:
Brow Lamination (also known as Brow Lift or Brow Sculpt) brings your brows to new heights - keeping your brows looking stunningly voluminous and defined! Brow lamination was designed to give the illusion of fuller, more defined eyebrows.
Our treatment products are applied directly to the eyebrow hairs to create a chemical reaction, lifting them up and styling them into the perfect semi-permanent position. This is not only the ideal service for people with messy and unruly brows but can also be beneficial for those with sparse brow hairs as we can style your brows to appear fuller.
The process itself is very easy and takes less than an hour. First, brow hairs are brushed upwards with an adhesive. Then, a softening lotion is applied to relax the hair cuticle (10 minutes). After that, a fixing lotion is applied for another 10 minutes to lock in the new directional hair pattern. After the fixing lotion is removed, a nourishing serum is brushed on as the last finishing touch to hydrate and condition the brow hairs.
After the lamination process we shape and tint the brows. Now you have your fancy, fluffy, brows of your dreams.
Pre-treatment care is essential — if you love a fake tan, maybe skip it before getting your brows laminated (affects the overall result). It's always important to let your eyebrow specialist know of any skin medications you use or of any recent intense facial treatments you undergo before your appointment.
AFTERCARE: For the first 24 hours after your brow lamination, it's important to avoid getting your brows wet. This includes avoiding steam from showers and hot baths. Water can disrupt the lamination solution and cause it to break down prematurely.
You should avoid brushing or touching your brows for the first 24 hours, but after you can absolutely brush them.
Don't apply any cream, oils or makeup on eyebrows for 24 hours.
Lash Lift
WHAT IS A LASH LIFT?
Essentially a perm for your natural lashes, lash lifts are the low-maintenance alternative to lash extensions.
WHAT'S THE PROCESS?
We start the process with cleansing the eye area and place a silicone rod onto the eyelids. The natural lashes are then curled over and attached to the rod with an adhesive to set the lashes. Once the esthetician ensures everything is positioned correctly, a lifting lotion is applied to allow the lashes to mold around the curling rod, followed by a setting lotion that sets the lash shape. Expect the whole thing to take about an hour to hour and fifteen minutes. Please note that your eyes are closed for the entire process.
EXPECTATIONS:
The results typically last four to six weeks, depending on how quickly your eyelashes grow. You should avoid mascara for 48 hours after the treatment, and leave lashes untouched for a full day. No makeup, or water should come in contact with your lashes for 24 hours to ensure the lift correctly sets into shape. Then, you can fully enjoy the treatment’s results. Get ready for lots of compliments. A lash lift will enhance your eyes by making them look more open and awake.
Brazilian Sugaring
WHAT IS SUGARING?
Sugaring is a method of hair removal in which your Sugarista uses a ball of sugar paste to remove hair and dead cells from your skin. They spread the ball of sugar on the skin and using a smooth motion flick it off in the direction of hair growth. This pulls hair out from the root resulting in less breakage and ingrown hairs.
Sugaring also has an eco-conscious and sensitive skin-friendly advantage. There’s no hot wax, and the practitioner only dips into the sugar paste pot once reducing waste and upping hygiene standards.
- No-Risk Of Burning - Sugar paste is only warmed to body temperature
- Sugaring Doesn't Break Hairs - Waxing can break up to 30% of hair at or just below the skin. Sugaring removes hair from the root.
- Sugaring removes even short hairs - compared to waxing that only works on hair of a certain length.
- Sugaring leads to permanent hair removal - sugaring leaves you with a longer period of being hair-free and eventually to follicle atrophy and permanent hair removal.
- Less painful than waxing - most people report less pain compared to waxing, especially around the bikini areas.
HOW LONG SHOULD HAIR BE FOR A SUGARING SESSION?
Hair should be approximately ¼” long, or the length of a grain of rice. The best time to come in is about 2 weeks post-shave. This is the ideal length for the sugar to grab the root of the hair.
AFTERCARE:
- Avoid exfoliating the sugared area for at least 48 hours, even if exfoliation is part of your normal routine.
- Avoid excessive sweating since your pores, and therefore hair follicles, may become clogged.
- Avoid any kind of friction to the area. Yes, this includes sex! Especially if you just had your bikini area sugared.
- Avoid touching the area. Don’t pluck, tweeze or shave your freshly sugared skin.
After 48 hours:
- Exfoliate as needed but with care. Your skin may still be more sensitive than normal.
- Protect yourself from the sun using a high quality sunblock.
- Avoid lotions and moisturizers that include harsh chemicals or fragrances.
- Avoid tanning. The UV light from tanning beds can harm your freshly exfoliated skin.
- Avoid swimming. Even chlorinated pools and hot tubs can carry bacteria.
BENEFITS:
Regular sugaring prevents ingrown hairs, slows hair growth, and breaks down follicles. Over time, you’ll notice you have more hair-free weeks in between sessions. The moment you make a decision to give sugaring a try – do everything is your power to maintain the sugaring results – book your appointments every 3-5 weeks, as needed – but make sure not to skip appointments by months. Only consistent skincare maintenance can give you results. Sugaring is not an exception.
