WHAT IS MICROCURRENT?
Often called a "non-invasive facelift" or like pilates for the face. Microcurrent facials are considered a form of muscular re-education for the face, manipulating 32 different facial muscles. To perform this muscular re-education, probes are placed on the skin and used to physically move the muscles into the desired position. The treatment affords the muscles the necessary energy to keep tension in their new improved position. The high frequency electrical signals reach deep into the facial muscles and surrounding tissues to promote circulation, collagen production, cellular repair and regeneration. This treatment has gained popularity for its ability to rejuvenate the face without the need for needles or surgery.
THE PROCESS:
During the treatment, handheld probes or mitts are used to emits tiny electrical impulses that mimic the body’s own electrical currents. These currents are absorbed by the muscles and skin, helping to improve the tone, texture, and elasticity of the skin. It’s like giving your skin a gentle “jump start” to encourage it to renew and regenerate.

THE BENEFITS:
Scientists have found that microcurrent treatments trigger the body’s production of amino acids and adenosine triphosphste (ATP), which accelerates cell repair and promotes healthier cell production, making microcurrent a highly-healing, restorative and regenerative treatment.
Lifting and Toning: Like lifting weights for your body, microcurrent stimulates the muscles, leading to a natural lifting effect. It helps tighten the skin around the jawline, cheeks, and forehead.
Increased Collagen Production: Just as lifting weights increases muscle growth, microcurrent stimulates collagen production in the skin, which is crucial for a youthful appearance.
Improved Circulation: The electrical currents boost blood flow, promoting a healthier, more radiant complexion.
Targets the underlying muscles to lift and tone without needles or surgery.
Improves overall skin health, texture, and elasticity.
Reduced Puffiness and Fine Lines: It's like ironing out wrinkles—microcurrent helps smooth out fine lines and reduces puffiness, especially around the eyes and chin.
Non-invasive: Unlike surgical facelifts, this treatment doesn’t require any downtime or recovery. It’s a quick, painless procedure with immediate results that you can see and feel. Immediate results with continued improvement over multiple sessions. Safe for most skin types and tones.
WHAT IF I HAVE BOTOX AND FILLER?
If you already get Botox or fillers, microcurrent is the perfect compliment. Fillers give a quick and effective “plumping” effect, diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. However, they do nothing for muscle contour, natural collagen, or elastin production — all of which are needed to maintain the face’s natural fullness and youthfulness. Over time, Botox actually causes atrophy to the facial muscles. Regular microcurrent treatments help keep those muscles alive. Microcurrent is also a great choice for anyone looking to wean themselves off of Botox and fillers.
WHO SHOULD BOOK?
Ideal Candidates:
- Anyone looking to combat early signs of aging: Microcurrent facials are fantastic for people in their 30s or early 40s who are starting to notice fine lines or subtle sagging.
- People looking for a non-invasive alternative to a facelift: Those who want a youthful look but aren't ready for surgery or injectables like Botox or fillers may benefit from this treatment.
- Those with dull or tired skin: If your skin is looking a little lackluster, the improved circulation and hydration from microcurrent can rejuvenate your complexion.
- Clients with sensitive skin: Unlike more intense treatments, microcurrent facials are generally gentle on the skin and can be used by those with sensitive or reactive skin.
- People who want a natural, glowing look: Because the treatment stimulates natural processes in the skin and muscles, the results are subtle and enhance the skin's natural beauty without making it look overdone.
Not Recommended For:
- Pregnant Women: Due to the electrical current involved, it's typically advised for pregnant women to avoid microcurrent treatments.
- People with pacemakers or heart conditions: Since the treatment uses electrical currents, it may not be safe for individuals with these conditions.
- Those with certain skin conditions: If you have certain conditions like rosacea, severe acne, or active skin infections, it may not be suitable without a consultation with a skincare professional
