Moving to Winnipeg from Punjab, India, at just three years old was an experience that I somewhat remember. I spent most of my early childhood with my older brother while our parents worked long hours to provide us with a good life. Even as a child, I knew I wanted to make them proud. I would often ask myself, "What am I best at? How can I achieve that?"
Like many of us, I dreamed big. At one point, I thought I wanted to be a lawyer. But after spending two and a half years studying at the University of Winnipeg, I realized something important: my true passion wasn’t in law. It was something else entirely—self-care. I want to help people restore their confidence, not through the power of words in a courtroom, but through beauty and wellness.
Growing up, I was always the go-to person in my family for beauty advice. My mom, aunts, and even my friends would ask me about skincare routines, makeup tricks, and haircare tips. I loved every minute of it. But it wasn’t just about following beauty trends or trying new products—it was about making people feel good in their own skin. It was about helping others shine.
I wasn’t into sports like most of my peers. My parents tried their best to get me interested, but I simply wasn’t drawn to them. Instead, I found my joy in more creative pursuits—cooking, art, and hands-on activities. My favourite meal to cook and eat is pasta! Whether it is making personalized meals for my family or experimenting with different crafts, I love adding my personal touch to everything.
This creativity, combined with my natural attention to detail, became the foundation of what I do today. Whether it’s shaping someone’s brows, enhancing their lashes, or guiding them on their skincare journey, I see it all as an art form—one that allows me to help people feel confident and beautiful.
Looking back, it’s funny to think about how I spent hours as a 12-year-old begging my friends and family to let me perform DIY beauty service on them—just for fun! I would act like a professional, eager to experiment with new techniques. Little did I know, that innocent curiosity and love for beauty would eventually lead me to become a esthetician.
Since 2017, I’ve been diving deep into the world of beauty and skincare, experimenting with trends, learning new skills, and growing my craft. Every treatment, every technique, has been a learning experience—helping me refine not just my skills but my philosophy toward beauty.
Then came Myüz. When I found this place, I knew I had found the dream spot to hone my skills. After being trained by Tina, the "skin fairy," I finally felt like I was in the right place. Tina’s mentorship has given me the confidence I need to move forward in my career. It wasn’t just about the technical skills I learned at Myüz—it was the sense of confidence I gained, both in my abilities and in myself.
At Myüz, I learned that beauty is more than just skin-deep. It’s about the experience. It’s about giving people the time and space to relax, rejuvenate, and feel good. My clients come to me for more than just a beauty treatment—they come for the confidence boost and the self-care experience. And that’s what I strive to offer in every service I provide.
One of my favourite features about myself is my brows! I know they can be a little extra, and I always want them to be perfect whenever I do them. Can you guess what my biggest insecurity is? Probably not, and that’s because there are a hundred other beautiful things about me to admire. It’s all about focusing on the positive, and I try to pass that energy on to my clients—reminding them that we all have imperfections, but it’s the beautiful things that define us.
My dad, for example, still doesn’t quite understand what I do. When I try to explain it, he always says, “That’s all good, but remember—the way you are, and how you were made, is better than anything.” Those words stick with me, and I take them to heart. They’ve shaped the way I approach beauty—reminding myself and my clients that we don’t need to change who we are. We’re perfect just as we are but it’s always great to do stuff to boost your confidence.
Beauty treatments, whether it's a custom brow shape, a skincare routine tailored just for you, or a relaxing facial, are about more than just appearance. They’re about feeling good in your own skin and embracing the parts of you that make you unique. That’s why I approach my work as both a craft and a passion: it’s not just about what I can do for you—it’s about what you feel after you’ve left my room.
Whether you're seeking a quick confidence boost or simply want to take a moment for yourself, my goal is always the same: to make you feel your absolute best. Because, just like me, you deserve to feel confident, beautiful, and special—exactly as you are.
